week of Sept. 26, 2011

Worksheet #1 - Using a Global Grid due Wednesday from periods 2, 4, and 5.

Test Thursday on everything we've covered so far this year. Study over all of your notes, know where continents, oceans, and special lines are on a map, and be able to locate places using latitude and longitude.

Period 1 is a bit behind because of the pep rally and the fire drill. So their schedule is different.
For Thursday, do wksh. 1 - Using a Global Grid. Their test will be Friday.

Current Events this Friday.

Also for Friday, everyone should have a list of 3 or 4 countries they would like to do for their country project this year. Students will pick 1 on Friday.

My homeroom - Voc. Olympics # 28-30 are due 5x each for Tuesday.
Study from 1-30. There will be a quiz on them on Thursday.

For Monday, get the paper regarding the country project signed.

Progress Reports are being sent home Friday. Please get it signed and returned on Monday.

week of Sept. 12, 2011

For my homeroom, throughout this week we will be learning new Vocabulary Olympics words. They are to be written 5 times each and handed in the next day.
Quiz on # 1-15 on Wednesday.

For Thursday, go to askkids.com and find the name and location of the newest, the 5th, ocean.

Study the placement of the oceans and continents on the globe. There will be a quiz on this on Monday, Sept. 19.

Current Events is scheduled for Friday.

Please check the front cover of your student's assignment/ agenda book. A September calendar was stapled there. That is where we will keep track of any missed assignments throughout the month. Your student should ALWAYS have his or her assignment with them.

My homeroom - write Voc. Olympics #6-10 5 times each for Wed.
Write Voc. Oly. #11-15 5 times each for Thursday.
Study, study, study those first 15 for a quiz on Friday.

Parents from my homeroom are asked to have all forms filled out and returned to school by Friday, Sept. 2.
My homeroom is also in need of tissues since the school will not be supplying them this year. Please send a box in to school whenever possible.
